Outdoors
Spring wildflowers and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country makes Fredericksburg a sought after location for fun runs, half marathons and cycling rides - which are hosted in the Fredericksburg area year-round.
Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks host special events like Movies Under the Stars, fishing days, seed stomps, guided hikes and more - giving visitors the chance to enjoy the parks like the Johnson Family did.
Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is home to more than eight miles of hiking trails including the famed summit trail which leads hikers to 360-degree views of the Texas Hill Country. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is also a designated International Dark Sky Park, making it a perfect place to stargaze.
And that’s just the beginning. Dozens of outdoor events are hosted in Fredericksburg each year giving nature enthusiasts plenty of things to do.
