Fredericksburg, TX Press Kit

Fredericksburg, Texas, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, has several businesses celebrating anniversaries in 2024.

Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods

Fifty-five years ago, Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods opened their doors in Fredericksburg at a time when Fredericksburg was just getting on the map.

The company started by selling peaches, jams and jellies. In the early 1990s, the Original Raspberry Chipotle Sauce sent the company in a new direction, and today, many of their products including jams, jellies, salsas and sauces are found in households and grocery stores across the nation.

Today, the company continues to expand its offerings with the opening of Dietz Distillery, an expanded retail program and more.

As part of their anniversary, they have released Farmstead food and Wine Seasonal Subscription Boxes as well as Limited Edition 55th Anniversary Products. Fischer & Wieser has also increased their cooking class offerings during summer 2024 as well as released Farmstead merchandise.

They work with all varieties of wine, including wines found in the Texas Hill Country. Chocolat also produces sweet treats including silk fudge, truffles, colettes, barks, caramels and more.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Chocolat opened their doors to the community, local businesses, family and friends to thank them for their support and those who continue to help them be.

Fredericksburg Brewing Company

Thirty years ago, Fredericksburg Brewing Company opened its doors and became the first legal brewpub in Texas. In addition to the brewery, they opened a Bed & Brew above the brewery, which was the start of Fredericksburg’s unique lodging offerings.

Over the last 30 years, they have expanded the number of beer tanks to keep up with demand. But to this day, Fredericksburg Brewing Company keeps its beer in Fredericksburg, rather than bottling and selling to distributors.

To celebrate this special anniversary, Fredericksburg Brewing Company will host a party in their Biergarten with live music, drinks and fun.
