2022 PEACH SEASON UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 23
Peach season is winding down in the Texas Hill Country, but some orchards will still have fruit through Labor Day. Orchards are reporting some of the sweetest fruit in years, but due to a lack of rain in the spring, peaches are smaller than normal, and varieties are ripening a few weeks later than normal. Most orchards and roadside stands have best availability during morning hours. If you are set on shopping at a specific orchard or for a specific variety, it is best to confirm their hours and availability prior to arriving.
Roadside markets and orchards around Fredericksburg and Stonewall offer more than 20 different varieties of delicious Gillespie County peaches.
