Easter Activities Abound In Fredericksburg Texas

If you're in the Texas Hill Country for Easter weekend, 2025, hop on over to Fredericksburg for fun and educational ways to celebrate the season.

From wildflowers to glass flowers, art exhibits, wine tastings, festivals, Easter egg hunts and more, you will find fun things to on and around Sunday, April 20.

Head out to Wildseed Farms for Easter on the Farm! Meet and take a photo with the Easter Bunny or capture the moment with spring themed photo ops throughout the farm. There will be wine and beer for the adults. The nation’s largest working wildflower farm is located just a few miles from downtown Fredericksburg and will provide the perfect place to take photos of fields of Texas bluebonnets, poppies, and other seasonal wildflowers. Easter Egg Hunts

There will be several Easter egg hunts scheduled on and around the holiday.

Marktplatz in the Fredericksburg Historic District will host an Easter egg hunt on Tuesday, April 15 from 4-6 p.m.

On Sunday, April 20, make your way to Luckenbach Texas for their 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Enjoy live music from Tumbleweed Hill at this free event. You can also head over to Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park for their Easter egg hunt. Enjoy activities such as crafts, games, easter egg dying, outdoor movies and more for $19.95, kids two and under are free. Who says the egg hunt is just for the kids? Hop over to Meierstone Vineyards on April 19 to enjoy the first ever Golden Egg Hunt for Adults! Eggs will be filled with goodies for the wine enthusiast around the tasting room grounds at this free event starting at 3 p.m.

Easter Weekend Events

Learn about German Easter traditions through living history demonstrations at Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farms at Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site. All ages are welcome. Visitors will learn about how to make homemade egg dyes, make grass Easter baskets, prepare a lamb cake and make friendship cards. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Sunday, April 20, enjoy an Easter Sunday Brunch at the Hill Country Herb Garden from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spring Events in Fredericksburg

Throughout March and April, including Easter weekend, Wildseed Farms will hold their Wildseed Celebration. Flowers will be in bloom and guests can enjoy the butterfly gardens, watch hummingbirds and shop for garden essentials and gifts. Grab a bite to eat in the Brewbonnet Biergarten and taste wine. There is plenty to see and do at the nation's largest working wildflower farm.

Daily from March 24-April 18, pay a flat fee and experience the Wine & Wildflower Celebration. Several Texas Hill Country wineries offer samples of award-winning wines all while taking in breathtaking views.

Recurring on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, including on Easter weekend, the Fredericksburg Art Guild will host their Spring Art Show. Members will showcase a variety of styles and mediums, including oils, acrylic, encaustic, mixed media, water color and photography. Open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for viewing.
