Countdown to the New Year at Marktplatz

Countdown to 2026 at the City of Fredericksburg's Countdown to the New Year at Marktplatz. The family-friendly event will be held on Dec. 31 from 3-6:30 p.m. and features children's amusements, face painting, dance performances, free activities, arts and crafts and more. The ball drop will conclude the event at 6:30 p.m.

Midnight Summit at Enchanted Rock

Ring in the new year from the summit of Enchanted Rock. Join park rangers on a guided late night hike where you can enjoy the outdoors and miles of dark starry skies. Once at the top, countdown to midnight and ring in 2026 from the top of the rock!

Note: Reserve your spot through the park’s website. If pre-sale permits sell out, you may purchase a day pass in person at the park on the night of the hike. Once the event reaches capacity, the park will close.

Dance the Night Away

NYE at Albert, Texas Dancehall

Grab your dancing boots and kick up your heels at New Year's Eve at Albert, Texas Dancehall with Cody Widner and The Lone Star Souvenirs. Doors open at 6 p.m. and Gary Cox will be DJing until the band takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Kin Faux & September Moon at Historic Luckenbach Dancehall

Dance the night away at this family-friendly New Year's Eve event at Luckenbach. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the performance begins at 8 p.m. with a complimentary champagne toast to ring in the New Year. Tickets are $45.63 per person, and free for children 8 and younger.

Celebrate with Dinner & Live Music

New Year's Eve Dance at Hangar Hotel

As the sun sets on 2025, you can countdown to 2026 in style. Head over to the Hangar Hotel for their annual New Year's Eve Dance. This event has limited tickets available and is open to adults 21 and up. Arrive early to enjoy a light dinner before the big show. Doors open for seating in the Pacific Showroom at 8:30 and live music begins at 9:30 p.m. At midnight there will be black-eyed peas, champagne, cornbread and more. Tickets must be purchased by phone or in person at the Hangar Hotel.

Live Music at Western Edge Kitchen & Cocktails

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Western Edge Kitchen & Cocktails with live music from Kim Carson and Frankie. The duo takes the stage from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a lively night of food, drinks, and great music.

New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Dinner at Hill Country Herb Garden

Spend the evening at Hill Country Herb Garden with a seasonal prix fixe dinner crafted by Executive Chef Jeff. Dine between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, and enjoy an entrée paired with your choice of appetizer, salad, and dessert. Pricing varies by entrée, making it easy to plan a New Year’s celebration that fits your style.

New Years Eve Party at The Club at Barons CreekSide

Finish out 2025 with great food and good company at this New Years Eve Party. Enjoy live performances by Doug "The Songman" and Randy and indulge in the special menu from 5 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Reservations are required and are $80 per person for the full experience. If you already have dinner reservations, you can still enjoy the music after 9 p.m. with a $15 reservation.

Bring in the New Year at Mendelbaum Cellars

Welcome the New Year at Mendelbaum Cellars with a relaxed, family-friendly celebration. Stop in for a tasting, a glass, or a bottle and enjoy wines made from Texas Panhandle and Texas High Plains grapes, along with selections from Israel. There will be fireworks, weather permitting!

New Year's Eve Masquerade Party

Begin the night with an elevated dinner at The Harvey from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., where Chef Ashley presents a refined, multi-course experience of shared plates paired with wine. Dinner tickets are $250 per person.

At 9 p.m., continue into a progressive after-party spanning Ocotillo, The Market at Elk & Main, and Six Twists, with each venue delivering its own late-night moment. After-party tickets are $100 per person. Tickets are required for both experiences and are sold separately.

New Year's Day

Typically about 50% of our local businesses are open New Year’s Day in Fredericksburg. We recommend calling shops, restaurants, and wineries ahead of time to check on any closures or places that require reservations.

On New Year's Day spend time outside at Cross Mountain or Enchanted Rock for a New Year's Day hike in the old German tradition of Volkssporting. Note that reservations are required for entry to Enchanted Rock and can be purchased up to 30 days in advance.
