Overview

Nick Cristano is a young marketing executive in New Jersey who faithfully visits both sets of his Italian American grandparents every Sunday for dinner. Though he finds their constant meddling and doting exasperating, he remains their only local family connection.

The routine is disrupted when Nick announces he has been offered a dream promotion in Seattle. Devastated by the prospect of him moving 2,800 miles away, his grandparents—Frank, Aida, Nunzio, and Emma—concoct various hilarious schemes to keep him local. Their primary tactic is a matchmaking attempt, inviting an attractive nurse named Caitlin to dinner in hopes that romance will anchor him to New Jersey.

As Nick wrestles with his career ambitions versus his familial obligations, he confronts the "three F’s": family, faith, and food. The play explores intergenerational gaps and the inevitable heartbreaks of growing up, ultimately highlighting the deep, enduring love between generations.
