Overview

With a growing emphasis on Science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM), the National Museum of the Pacific War is hosting its annual robotic competition on Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Students design and program their robots to carry out missions as they island hop across the Pacific.

The competition mat is designed to look like several Pacific islands where key battles took place during WWII. During the competition, teams will attempt several tasks, including clearing the jungle to build an air strip, delivering Atomic Bomb components, and knocking out enemy bunkers.

This contest is designed to promote the STEAM field and encourage students to learn about WW2 and the technological advancements resulting from the war.
