Overview

Like a Christmas gift to the Texas Hill Country, Alamo Springs Café reopened on December 26 after a six-month closure. Located in a converted saddle shop 10 miles south of Fredericksburg, this legendary burger destination is returning to its roots under new leadership.

Fredericksburg native Selena Flores and her husband, Antonio Herrera, have taken the reins through an ownership transition with founders Mike and Cindy Tangman. Flores, who grew up in the restaurant industry, has revived the original recipes and suppliers that earned the café its fame—including the iconic No. 3 ranked burger in Texas.
