Two bicycle shops, Hill Country Bicycle Works and Jack and Adam’s Bicycles of Fredericksburg, have all of the cycling supplies and local insight you’ll need for a great cycling getaway. Looking for bike rentals in Fredericksburg, so you and the family can explore on two wheels? Both of these bike shops offer rentals for experience and novice riders.
The Fredericksburg cycling community also hosts regular rides that are open to the public. Hill Country Bicycle Works offers an 8 a.m. Friday no-one-left-behind ride that begins at Marktplatz. It is a road ride at a steady workout pace with several regroup spots.
Meanwhile, Jack and Adam’s offers one option that rolls out each Saturday at 9 a.m. from its shop in the Fredericksburg Warehouse District. All skill levels from expert to beginner are welcomed as no one is left behind. Jack and Adam’s also offers an "Around Town Fun Ride" on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. The ride is a 7-10-mile excursion that starts and ends at Jack and Adam’s shop with food and drinks to follow.
Texas Bike Tours, which partners with Jack and Adam’s, allows you to create your own completely personalized cycling tour of the Texas Hill Country. Each tour includes rental bikes picked just for you by the TXBT crew, SAG Wagon road support, homemade goodies from the TXBT chef and a photographer to capture your experiences.

The Texas Hill Country boasts several areas that are excellent for mountain biking, including Hill Country State Natural Area, near Bandera, Pedernales Falls State Park, near Johnson City, and Flat Rock Ranch, near Comfort.
