Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival Launches First-Ever Restaurant
Week, May 4–10
Seven days of chef collaborations, special menus, and culinary events kick off Fredericksburg’s festival season
FREDERICKSBURG, Texas —March 23, 2026—The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival will debut its first-ever Restaurant Week, taking place May 4–10, 2026, bringing seven days of exclusive dining events, prix fixe menus, and culinary collaborations to one of Texas’ fastest- growing food destinations.
Created as an annual Spring event to complement the July Preview Week and the fall Food & Wine Festival, Fredericksburg Restaurant Week invites locals and visitors to explore the town’s vibrant dining scene through special menus, limited-time restaurant experiences, and a lineup of ticketed events featuring local chefs, pit-masters, and beverage experts.
“Fredericksburg has become a true culinary destination, and Restaurant Week is a way to celebrate the chefs, restaurants, and hospitality that make our town a wine and culinary destination,” said Jim Mikula, President/CEO of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a chance for guests to experience the diversity of Fredericksburg’s dining scene while building excitement for the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival later this year.”
Signature Restaurant Week Events
The first special event kicks off May 5 with Tacos y Margs at Hill & Vine, a festive Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring five taco and margarita pairings served across tasting stations throughout the courtyard, with live music and margaritas flowing from the Das Bar Bus.
On May 6, the Austin Street Block Party turns one of Fredericksburg’s most charming streets into a lively neighborhood gathering with bites from Bottega Salaria, Dot’s Bakery, Otto’s German Bistro, Emi’s on Austin, and Junebug’s BBQ, plus live music and a laid-back, family- friendly atmosphere.
The culinary creativity continues May 7 with East Side Flights & Bites at Elk & Main, an intimate progressive dining experience featuring six interactive culinary stations paired with wine, beer, and a cocktail, served throughout the courtyard.
On May 8, Smoke & Fire brings together El Quincho and Eaker Barbecue—recognized on the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ list— for a bold collaboration centered around live-fire cooking.Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail, passed appetizers, a buffet of smoked and open-fire grilled meats with seasonal sides, and a plated dessert.
TexMex BBQ Fest: First Bite will take place on May 9 at Leroy’s TexMex BBQ, offering a preview of the Tex-Mex BBQ Fest coming to the Texas Hill Country in May 2027. Produced by Leroy’s TexMex BBQ and Bevvy Curated, the evening highlights the fusion of Tex-Mex flavors and slow-smoked barbecue with Texas-sized bites, live music, and traditionally distilled desert spirits.
