Step onto the frontier and experience history firsthand at Fort Martin Scott State Historic Site's Second Annual Frontier Fest. Spend the day exploring immersive living-history demonstrations that bring the sights and sounds of the 1800s to life. Meet interpreters in period dress, discover historic skills and trades, and learn what daily life was really like on the Texas frontier.

Visitors can test their skills with family-friendly axe throwing and archery activities, enjoy live music from local bands, and relax under the Texas sky with beer, wine, and local food vendors. Guests will also have the chance to interact with a few members of the Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd and the Texas Camel Corps up close — a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else.
