Overview

Located in the Texas Hill Country between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, Becker Vineyards was established in 1992 by Richard and the late Bunny Becker. The winery, located in a 19th century German stone barn reproduction, is surrounded by lavender fields. Featured in Wine Spectator, Food & Wine, the Fine Living Channel and served in The White House, these hand-crafted, Bordeaux, Burgundian and Rhone-styled award winning wines are enjoyed with fine cuisine or casual fare. Becker Vineyards is open for tastings, winery/cellar tours, wine gift purchases, wine club and picnicking. The grounds feature veranda seating during the spring and summer, or an open fire during the winter in the tasting room. Becker Vineyard's annual Lavender Festival is just one of many of their events throughout the year. Second location: Becker Vineyards Tasting Room located at 307 East Main Street in downtown Fredericksburg, Texas.

Grape Stomp

Celebrating the grape harvest season - join us for the Annual Grape Stomp, September 5th & 6th, 2026!

Grape stomping is the traditional way of separating the juice from the skins (if making white wine) or separating red wine from the skins.

There is no fee and no reservations required to stomp grapes. It is "first come, first served". Hours: Saturdays, 10 AM - 5:30 PM; Sundays, 11 AM - 5:30 PM.

Bring your friends and family! Children may stomp grapes but must be accompanied by their parent(s).

Outdoors Event Note: The Grape Stomp takes place under a tent but it is outdoors. We recommend wearing casual clothes, hat, sunscreen, and staying hydrated.

Food Options: Sandwiches, Salads, Baguettes, Cheese-Charcuterie boards orderable at the Verandah Bar of our Tasting Room.

Grape Stomp T-Shirts ($ Price TBA): Some guests like to purchase and put their "stomp" prints on the back as a souvenir. NOTE: When you get home, soak your T-shirt in bowl of vinegar or salt water for a day or two to set the "stomp" print stain. Do not use Clorox or Shout it Out - they will remove the stains.
