Attend Fredericksburg's Christmas Nights of Lights
Experience a unique mix of German Christmas Traditions and warm Texan hospitality at Fredericksburg's Christmas Nights of Lights. Held nightly form the week of Thanksgiving through the first week in January, gather with family and friends to see the nightly lighting of the Community Christmas Tree and German Christmas Pyramid. Music begins at 5 p.m. and a 10-minute audio program with a countdown begins at 6 p.m.
Skate at Eisbahn
Take the family to skate a few laps at Fredericksburg's only outdoor ice skating rink, Eisbahn. The rink is located at Marktplatz in the Kinderhalle Pavilion. Come-and-go passes are $15 including skate rental. Passes are $10 on Tuesdays.
Shop and stroll historic main street
Cross off your holiday shopping list while supporting small businesses this season. Fredericksburg is home to more than 150 locally-owned shops, boutiques and art galleries so you are sure to find something for everyone. Attend the Light the Night Christmas Parade
See Fredericksburg Main Street light up at the holiday night parade. The parade is held the first Friday of December and begins at 6:30 p.m. After, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available at the Adelsverein Halle at Marktplatz for photos.
