The Charles Morin Gallery

Located on the west end of downtown, this gallery has more than 250 works that include vintage Texas, Santa Fe, and American art as well as vintage Texas utilitarian art, pottery, and sculpture.

The Fredericksburg Art Guild

The guild is a group of Texas Hill Country artists who came together to promote the creation of fine art in the region. They host an ever-changing “all-member show” throughout the year.

The Good Art Company

Located in the heart of historic Fredericksburg, this unique gallery offers “contemporary art for the modern collector.” Their collection features a wide range of genres from regional and international artists.  

InSight Gallery

The finest painters and sculptors in landscape, figurative, impressionistic, still life, wildlife and Western art are represented here. They feature a rotating display of high-quality, award-winning works and various shows throughout the year.

Larry Jackson Fine Art & Antiques

Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, this gallery curates a unique collection of estate jewelry, furniture, silver, glass, porcelain, lighting, fine art, and decorative arts. 

Purple Shack Makers Gallery

This quaint gallery provides handwoven clothing, jewelry, pottery, glassworks, photography, woodworks, and more; they have a beautiful offering for any budget. They also offer glass-blowing demonstrations and lessons.

Kathy Weigand Studio

Kathy Weigand is a sixth-generation Texan who grew up taking photos and doing sketches of the animals on the family ranch. She is now an esteemed lecturer and busy photographer focusing on oil paintings depicting the American West and wildlife.

Radovan Gallery

An amazing array of contemporary fine art can be found online at Radovan Gallery. Their collection is curated by their director, Marissa Radovan, who has over 20 years of experience in design and fine art.

Western Galleries

This is an online gallery for award-winning original artwork. Established by locals, it ships beautiful works of western Texas and wildlife-themed art right to you. In-person sessions can also be arranged.

AW Studio Gallery

Try to catch artist and painter Alan Wilcox at his studio in a quaint cottage just a block off Main Street in Fredericksburg's historic district. He is only open when he’s in the studio painting, but he will also meet you by appointment.

Yellow Door and Next Door Studios

Attend a workshop, learn pottery or wine glass painting, or take a bottle of wine and a friend to enjoy an Art & Vino class. They also provide lessons and birthday parties for kids and offer instruction to groups with a reservation.

Fredericksburg Theater Company

Named "Best Theatre in the San Antonio Region" by BroadwayWorld.com, they have produced professional quality musicals, comedies, and dramas for over twenty years.

Artist Crafts Wood Cactus

There are a couple of annual art events in Fredericksburg that you don’t want to miss.

Annual Texas Mesquite Arts Festival

In October, Fredericksburg hosts the annual Texas Mesquite Arts Festival where the world’s finest mesquite wood artisans showcase their handcrafted products.

Annual Art Show and Sale at St. Joseph’s Halle

This annual art takes place in November, and here, you can celebrate and shop for original art from local artists.

Peace Statue of Treaty between Indians & German Settlers in Fredericksburg, TX

There are several places in and around Fredericksburg that offer opportunities to view public art, learn about Fredericksburg's history and heritage and even take some great selfies. 

Marktplatz

In downtown Fredericksburg, take a walk around the garden at Marktplatz to view a variety of art showing Fredericksburg's German history and heritage. Art includes busts of Fredericksburg founder John O. Meusebach,  United States President Lyndon B. Johnson and Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, and a sculpture demonstrating the unbroken treaty between the Fredericksburg pioneers and the Comanche Indians. 

Texas Rangers Heritage Center

Located next to historic Fort Martin Scott, the Texas Rangers Heritage Center is dedicated to former Texas Rangers. The center includes the Ranger Ring of Honor, a bronze sculpture. 

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz statue

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz was an influential leader during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Nimitz was born and raised in Fredericksburg and his family owned and operated a hotel on Main Street. View a bronze statue of him on Historic Main Street, next to the Command Post.

A historic Coca Cola Mural on the side of a building

  • Coca-Cola: This historic mural located on the corner of Main and Edison St. preserves the history of the Coca-Cola bottling company that was once located in Fredericksburg.
