Local Lodging Partners Receive Membership to THLA

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — The board of the Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau recently approved a group membership to the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association (THLA) for all lodging partners in Fredericksburg and Gillespie County who collect and remit the local occupancy tax to either the City or County.

Through this group membership in THLA, 589 local lodging properties are now listed on three leading websites for promoting travel and lodging in Texas.

One of these sites is the Texas Travel and Tourism website at www.traveltexas.com.   The office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism, spends $34 million biennially marketing travel to Texas, referring potential travelers to Texas to this site for destination information and lodging options.

In addition, Fredericksburg/Gillespie County lodging partners are now listed on the THLA website at www.texaslodging.com and included in the booking widget on www.tourtexas.com.

These websites together average over six million qualified users annually.

In addition, THLA membership offers free legal and operational advice to lodging members, as well as money-saving vendor programs.

Members of THLA also have access to exclusive materials, printable signs and posters for your property, legislative updates and more.

“The Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau is happy to join destination marketing organizations across the state in providing this valuable benefit to our local lodging partners at no cost to them.  Like our other marketing initiatives, our goal is to help increase room night sales for all lodging partners in Fredericksburg and Gillespie County,” noted Ernie Loeffler, president/CEO, Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau.

If local lodging partners have questions about their listing or membership benefits, they may call THLA at (512)474-2996 or email Carolyn McCall-Squires, assistant director of marketing and membership for THLA, at csquires@texaslodging.com.
