Founded in 1983, by John and Marilyn Thomas, Wildseed Farms has been the trailblazer for the wildflower industry. The family decided to put their five generations of farming and harvesting experience into the planting of their first vineyard in 2015. The vineyard has expanded to its current 28 acres since then. The next planting cycle will be 2022 with an additional 12 acres of Malbec, Grenache, and two clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Wildseed Vineyards ventured into wine production during the summer of 2019. Starting with just Tempranillo and Mourvedre; production now includes a full range of wines including both Hill Country and High Plains grapes. Currently, Wildseed Vineyards is proud to serve four white varieties and a rosé from the estate. Numerous red wines are now included in the collection. Launched in the spring of 2021, the newly renovated tasting room opened.
