Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest

Fredericksburg has always been a place where good food and great wine go hand in hand. That tradition has now grown into something bigger. The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival is a celebration of Texas Hill Country flavor, spanning three distinct events from spring through fall. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime regular, 2026 is the year to pull up a chair and stay a while.

The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival isn't just one weekend on the calendar. It's a full series of curated culinary experiences that unfold across the city, each one shining a light on a different side of what makes this region so special. From intimate chef dinners and prix fixe menus to the grand tasting that draws visitors from across Texas and beyond, every event is a reason to book the trip.

In 2026, three signature events make up the festival series:

  • Restaurant Week | May 5–10
  • Preview Week | July 20–25
  • Festival Weekend | October 21–24

Restaurant Week

May 5–10, 2026

The season kicks off in spring with the first-ever Fredericksburg Restaurant Week, a town-wide celebration of the chefs, restaurants, winemakers, and culinary talent that have earned Fredericksburg national recognition as one of the best small food and drink cities in the country.

Participating restaurants across town will offer special prix fixe menus, curated pairings, and exclusive dining events throughout the week. It's a chance to try something new, meet the people behind the plates, and experience the full range of flavors that define Hill Country dining.

Restaurant Week was built around one idea: discovery. New restaurants, new chefs, new flavors and a great excuse to plan a spring trip to Fredericksburg.

Preview Week

July 20–25, 2026

As summer winds down, Preview Week offers a more intimate look at what's ahead. This collection of ticketed events brings guests closer to the chefs, winemakers, and producers at the heart of the Hill Country culinary scene.

Think chef-driven dinners, wine and spirit pairings, and tasting events set in some of Fredericksburg's most unique venues. These are smaller gatherings by design — the kind where the conversation flows as freely as the wine and the evening feels unforgettable.
