Overview
Fritztown Farms started in 2018 with seven hens and a dream—a dream of self-sufficiency and knowing exactly where our food came from. The excitement of collecting that very first egg after months of waiting was unforgettable.
What began as a small backyard endeavor quickly grew to include Coturnix quail and a few Southdown Babydoll sheep—perfect for maintaining vineyards, orchards, and even our own yard while we were still living in town. For years, our little farm thrived within city limits until 2022, when we found the perfect place to expand. Nestled on 20 acres just 15 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, our new home gave us the space to bring our vision to life.
From the moment we closed on the property, the real work began—building coops, mending fences, and bringing the land back to life. We were incredibly fortunate that it came with two additional homes, which, with a bit of hard work, we transformed into charming BnBs. These give us the opportunity to share the farm experience with guests, allowing them to connect with nature and our animals in a unique way.
