Fredericksburg Welcomes Grape Harvest Season
As the end of summer approaches, Fredericksburg and Texas Wine Country welcome the start of the annual grape harvest season. From mid-August through mid-September, the area celebrates with grape picking, grape stomping, new releases and more.
Area wineries often begin their harvest in late July or early August, depending on moisture received during the summer months. Many Fredericksburg and Gillespie County wineries are reporting a strong harvest crop in 2024 as the area has received generous moisture throughout the spring and summer months.
Special events are planned throughout the season, many of which require advanced reservations. Take a stab at stomping grapes the old fashioned way, participate in an I Love Lucy costume contest, experience new releases and more.
