Love Fredericksburg Stargazing

The Love Fredericksburg Dark Skies theme is a nod to all those that appreciate the magnificence of the night sky in the Texas Hill Country.

As an International Dark Sky Community, Fredericksburg is a great destination from which to view and enjoy the night skies. In order to keep it that way, we ask visitors and residents to do their part.

Join us in turning off outdoor lights when they aren’t needed. Attend a stargazing event at one of the area’s International Dark Sky Parks. And the next time you are enjoying an evening in Fredericksburg, take a moment to take in the splendid show overhead.
