The Menagerie is a luxurious private-estate rental providing historic and maximalist-designed spaces paired with attentive and tailored-care concierge services. It is located a walkable two blocks from Main Street, but provides a quiet restful retreat. This special property has 11 units for a full buy-out accommodating 28 adults, or you can choose individual night stays in our suites from the original mansion, converted barn, attic spaces, carriage house or the 1920s bungalows. The mansion is notably a 1910 Queen Anne Victorian that was home to the first mayor of Fredericksburg, Joe Stein. The grandeur of these spaces is present in its dramatic wallpaper, curated antiques, modern touches, and surprise details at every turn. Each of the spaces include kitchenettes with curated complimentary mini-bars and coffee stations with refrigeration and microwaves. The mansion has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can sleep six guests. It also includes a large piano room, dining room, and private wrap around porch. This space also has a full-size kitchen with an oven, stovetop and full-size fridge. There are six well-appointed suites with historical heritage near the mansion. Each suite sleeps two guests and includes a fireplace. In addition, there are four bungalows with bold and eclectic treasures. Three of the bungalows can sleep two guests, with one of the two-bedroom bungalows sleeping four with a larger kitchen and fridge. The property is well appointed with an ice haus and other special details and treats. Enjoy your stay ensuite or one of the many outdoor spaces for dining and relaxing including the pool area, spa and fireplace cabana.
