Amazing Property
Our family had an amazing time on this property. The owner of the home is great, made sure we had everything we needed. This place is amazing, the home itself was exceptional, very clean and well stocked, has everything you could need. The kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, chairs to sit outside by firepit. Plenty of room for the family and we had a great time with the pool table and watching the horses. Would definitely recommend this home, and plan to rebook on the next trip.

Pictures don’t do it justice
This place was FANTASTIC! So peaceful and quiet. The pictures really don’t show how beautiful the home and property is. The place was also immaculately clean. Beds were comfy and the rooms were nice and dark with no light pollution. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals and plenty of glassware options to choose from which was a bonus. Anytime we’re in Fredericksburg this will be our new go to place!

Weekend get away.
This place is amazing, the home itself was exceptional, very clean and well stocked, has everything you could need. While we didn’t cook, if we had the kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, chairs to sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee. Morning visit by the family dogs were great, just like being at home. The owner of the home is great, made sure we had everything we needed, even brought a little welcome gift. The kids liked playing pool and watching the horses out their bedroom window. Would definitely recommend this home.

We built the Red Barn and living quarters in 2004 after moving to Fredericksburg. We lived in the " Red Barn" for 10 years. As our family expanded to 6 and we built a larger home on the property where we live. We use the Red Barn for family, friends, and guests. Owner lives on the property.

Why they chose this property

The Red Barn is unique. The very comfortable living space located about 15 minutes to main street of Fredericksburg along a country road. The fenced yard is appropriate for children. There are wonderful sunsets and star watching opportunities. We have remodeled the Red Barn with new flooring, refinished wood block island, a full-size pool table, and updated kitchen hardware.

The western end of Gillespie County is a great place to ride motorcycles or bicycle. There are paved bike routes along county roads that can easily reach 60 miles from the Red Barn.

What makes this property unique

This is the full country experience. We have livestock and horses on the property and they also call the Red Barn home in nearby pens.

Wildlife live on this property. It is not unusual to see red tailed hawks, hear coyotes at night or see deer in the yard. An outdoor fire pit is available for when conditions are appropriate.

Covered parking available for automobile, motorcycles, or bicycles.

Contact owner if you need equestrian lodging. An outdoor arena is available to turn loose horses.
