Austin Airport Lands Non-Stop Flights to Paris
The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will now have a direct flight to Paris. Norwegian Air announced Thursday its Austin to Paris nonstop service will begin May 6, 2020. During the summer, flights will operate three times a week from Austin to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport. This announcement follows three other recently announced non-stop flights for ABIA, including…

  • KLM Airlines non-stop flight to Amsterdam, which is expected to start May 2020
  • Lufthansa began flying non-stop to Frankfurt earlier this summer.
  • WestJet also started a seasonal non-stop flight to Calgary this year.

REMINDER: Early Voting Now Through November 1, Election Day November 5
While there are 10 Texas Constitutional Amendments on this year’s election ballot, Texas Proposition No. 5 is a constitutional amendment that will dedicate funds to state and local parks and historic sites. It would be an important piece of funding for some local hospitality partners as it will pay for improvements to state and local parks, help protect wildlife and enhance historic properties, while no new taxes will be required. Welcome to Grape Camp 2019
The Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau welcomes Grape Camp 2019 to the Exhibition Hall at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds on Sunday, November 3, and Monday, November 4.  Grape Camp is an annual two-day event filled with educational sessions, vendor demonstrations and a celebration dinner focused on Texas grape growers. Sponsored by the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association (TWGGA), educational sessions on Sunday are for new growers and Monday sessions are for advanced growers. Fredericksburg CVB Staff Attended Texas Conference for Women in Austin
Director of Tourism and Strategic Alliances, Karyn Mayo, represented the Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau in Austin on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23-24, for the annual Texas Conference for Women at the Austin Convention Center.  The event allows the FCVB to connect and network with thousands of women from across Texas, while working to find new clients, business partners and potential visitors.   • Murder Mystery Dinner at Woerner Warehouse Café SOLD OUT

Come enjoy Halloween night at “Death of a Gangster” – a 1920’s Mafia marriage murder mystery dinner to be held at Woerner Warehouse on Thursday, October 31, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. Each ticket will include a four-course meal including one glass of champagne and a hands-on dinner theater with immersive and exciting interactions.   • Fredericksburg Fire/EMS Trick or Treat Open House Thursday Evening

  • ZOOMA Texas Wine Country Women’s Half Marathon

The ZOOMA Texas Wine Country Women’s Half Marathon will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 1-2, at Marktplatz. There will be a 5K run at 5:00 p.m. on Friday evening.   • Pebble Rock Cellars Pop-up Wine Tasting at Cicada Cellars

Pebble Rock Cellars will hold a Pop-up Wine Tasting at Cicada Cellars from Friday through Sunday, November 1-3. Tastings on Friday and Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tastings start on the hour, and the last tasting begins at 5:00 p.m. Reservations required. The Pioneer Museum’s weekly walking tour will continue at the Schandua House at 111 E. Austin St. on Wednesday, October 30, at 4:30 p.m. and continue every Wednesday through November 20.
