Fredericksburg Named Top-10 “Best Small Town for Shopping” by USA Today’s 10Best Readers

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – Fredericksburg was ranked No. 7 “Best Small Town for Shopping” in a recent poll of USA Today’s 10Best readers.

After being selected in an initial grouping of 20 nominees by a panel of experts, Fredericksburg’s top-10 finish was determined by voting on the 10Best website that was conducted during April and May.

The accolade announcement notes that “more than 150 shops line the streets of historic Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country, including many antique dealers and furniture design studios, making the town a popular destination for Texans looking to furnish a home.“

USA Today’s 10Best goes on to highlight Fredericksburg’s variety of shops by encouraging visitors to “take home a taste of Texas from Rustlin’ Rob’s Texas Gourmet Foods, handmade crosses and plaques from The Seasons or ‘traditional chic’ fashion at Jabberwocky.”

Fredericksburg’s shopping scene has long been a known commodity in Texas, but the diversity of stores on and off Main Street has only grown over the last several years to raise the scene’s national profile. Shops in town include antiques warehouses, art galleries, bakeries, candle shops, fashion havens, jewelry stores, western hats and boots, home décor outlets, restaurants, and wine tastings rooms.
