About

The Dogtrot at Triple Creek in Fredericksburg is a private getaway in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Whether you are planning a romantic escape for two, a girls shopping weekend or you are coming to the Hill Country to complete your first 100 mile bike ride, the owners are delighted to offer the beautiful setting of The Dogtrot at Triple Creek. The Dogtrot is one of the Hill Country’s most successful and well known guest houses. The log cabin is built in a southern style called a “dogtrot”. A dogtrot is a building with sleeping quarters at each end joined by a breezeway in the middle. The Dogtrot was originally built on the banks of the Cumberland river in Tennessee. In 1997, it was moved to the Texas Hill Country. The Dogtrot has been inspected repeatedly and was given an “outstanding quality” certification by Historic Accommodations of Texas for 10 consecutive years. The entire property is smoke-free. It offers two suites for guests. Each suite can accommodate up to two guests. Each suite offers a private entrance, a King-size bed, a Kitchenette with small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker, wood burning fireplace, Jacuzzi bathtub and shower, WiFi, and Roku TV.
