Take a self-guided tour through the ranch that former President LBJ loved so much. See the school he attended as a child and the runway that escorted back and forth during his presidency. Get all the significant historical details with a narrative CD as you drive through the property. Then when you arrive at the main house, otherwise known as “The Texas White House”, you can take a Ranger-guided tour through the home that entertained heads of state.
LBJ Ranch District:

The National Park Service operates the LBJ Ranch and offers public access to the ranch, Texas Whitehouse, LBJ”s birthplace, Johnson family cemetery, old Junction School, LBJ”s grandparents’ home and ranch show barn. For a free ranch driving permit, visit the LBJ State Park Visitor Center between 9AM and 4:15PM.
Guided NPS ranger tours of LBJ’s office and home are offered from 10AM to 4PM for $2.
