Jun 04 2019 to Jun 06 2019
The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training and partners are bringing together professionals and enthusiasts in a three-day symposium to discuss state-of=the-science efforts to preserve the sites, features, objects, letters, photographs, machines and tools that represent military heritage. There will be presentations on a wide range of topics: preserving structures in military historic districts, handling abandoned military sites and Nuclear Age testing grounds and development sites, documenting and interpreting internment camps, preserving war machines (planes, tanks, guns), preserving materials (concrete, metals, plastics, composites), special considerations for Cold War sites (bunkers, silos and rockets) and preserving records, photographs, letters, archives and more. Join us in Fredericksburg and share your story!
