Overview
America's Walking Club began in Fredericksburg, TX in 1976. To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we having a 3-day walking festival February 20-22, with Friday February 20th taking place in Fredericksburg at the Adelsverein-covered pavilion, where a grand opening ceremony will take place. Flags will be carried representing the various countries of the International Marching League, of which AVA is a member. After opening remarks (including Fredericksburg Mayor Jeryl Hoover), participants will then choose to walk either a 5K (3.1 mile) or a 10K (6.2 mile) walk through Fredericksburg. Afterward, there are wine samples from Augusta Vin, a food truck, and live entertainment. Buses are available from San Antonio through the registration page.
