Essence Women’s Choir is delighted to announce its annual holiday concert, The Joys of Christmas, to be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. This year’s program highlights the Kirk Mechem arrangement of international Christmas carols entitled “The Seven Joys of Christmas” accompanied by Madeleine Restaino on harp, Tamara Raatz on clarinet, Christy Lockhart on flute and David Isadore on oboe. In addition, the choir will perform three carols accompanied by local guitarist Michael Fontenot.

“We are excited to bring this joyful program to our community,” said Director Laurie Jenschke. “The music celebrates the beauty of the season by the voices of the women’s choir.

The public is invited to attend. Donations will be accepted at the door to support the choir’s ongoing mission of sharing music with the community.
