The Gillespie County Historical Society and Pioneer Museum are pleased to welcome Katherine Peake to a free event - “Lower South Grape Creek: Polygamy, Lawsuits, and Murder”. The program views the history of Gillespie County, Texas through the lens of the Lower South Grape Creek Community from 1837 to 1867. Ms. Peake moved to Fredericksburg in 1980 and lived on W. San Antonio St. until 1987 when she moved to Lower South Grape Creek and raised her five children. She currently lives in Blanco County, but still owns the property on Lower South Grape Creek. Doors at 6 pm.
