Holiday on the Homefront at the National Museum of the Pacific War

About

Come out this holiday season for Holiday on the Homefront, a delightful family-oriented event that brings the magic of the holiday season to our community.

Experience the joy of twinkling lights and festive decorations in the Memorial Courtyard, adorned with two rows of community-decorated Christmas trees, where visitors can vote on their favorite.

As you walk through the courtyard, you will be immersed in living history as reenactors from the Company K volunteer corps greet you in their 1940s-era dress and read heartfelt Christmas letters from the Museum's archive, offering a unique glimpse into the spirit of Christmas during World War II.

Capture precious memories with Santa Claus, enjoy exciting games, and even participate in writing your own Christmas letters on V-mail, just like soldiers did during the war. We'll even provide delicious snacks and hot drinks to keep you warm and cozy. Take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate the season with your family and friends!
