Are you trying to find the perfect pumpkin or experience the cooler weather fall provides? Head out to the Texas Hill Country for some fall fun in Fredericksburg! Besides countless shops offering fall styles, decorations or food items, here are three local businesses where you can pick out the perfect jack-o-lantern.

  • Jenschke Orchards is now offering pumpkins at their stand for sale and also offers pick-your-own fields. Jenschke Orchard is currently open Friday- Sunday from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. They also have a corn pile, corn hole games, a Texas-size jumpy pillow, wagon rides and a corn maze for $10 admission with age 5 and under free.
  • In the fall, Wildseed Farms is not just for flowers. The farm has truckloads of pumpkins and gourds – more than 25 varieties – to choose from. Wildseed Farms is open from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wildseed Farms will host their Monarch Celebration on Saturday, October 9. This free program is a tag and release program, celebrating the Monarch migration to Mexico. 
     
  • The pumpkin patch at Vogel Orchard features a real pick-your-own pumpkin patch and a already-picked selection. Also available for purchase will be pumpkin pie, blackberry and peach butter ice cream, peach cobbler, preserves, candy, and other local goodies. Fall hours start on Friday, October 1.
