LBJ Ranch District at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park
The National Park Service operates the LBJ Ranch and offers public access to the LBJ Ranch, Texas White House, LBJ birthplace, Johnson family cemetery, old Junction School, LBJ’s grandparents’ home and the LBJ ranch showbarn. Please Note: The Texas White House is closed for renovation until further notice.
During summer 2019, park rangers and volunteers will lead tours from the Hangar Visitor Center through the grounds outside of the Texas White House at 10 and 11 am and 1, 2, 3 and 4 pm. Tours will be offered 7 days a week. These 30-minute guided tours are free but tickets are required. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Hangar Visitor Center. Be sure to stop first at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site for a map and a free driving permit.
LBJ Visitor Center at Johnson City District
Located in Johnson City, this National Historical Park offers a Visitor Center with exhibits and films on LBJ and Lady Bird Johnson, the LBJ Boyhood Home, an education building, and the historic Johnson Settlement.
Hours: Visitor Center/Boyhood Home 9 am to 5 pm daily;
Johnson Settlement 9 am to sunset daily.
