FREDERICKSBURG, Texas --- A total of eight Fredericksburg area nominees were recently recognized by San Antonio Magazine, Austin Monthly and Texas Music during the Texas Travel Awards. Nominees were submitted by the Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau in March 2021 and winners were announced in September 2021 during a virtual program. The FCVB’s nominees took the top spot in four statewide categories and won first place for four entries in the Mid-Market I division.

Fredericksburg also took home first place in the Mid-Market I division in the following categories. Mid-Market I features destinations that have populations between 10,000 - 25,000 people.  Winners included:

The FCVB would like to congratulate other area winners whose nominations were not submitted by the FCVB including Pedernales Cellars, which won Best Winery in Texas and Texas Wine Month presented by Texas Hill Country Wineries, which won for Event, Guided/Self-Guided Tour, Destination Marketing Campaign and Destination Social Media Account in the Mid-Market II category.

“We are excited to garner these awards on behalf of our local partners,” Director of Communications Amanda Koone said. “We submitted these awards as part of the FCVB’s mission to market Fredericksburg and Gillespie County as a premier travel destination on the regional, national and international stage, therefore creating a positive impact on the local economy.”
