Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau Receives ConventionSouth Honor

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas --- The Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau (FCVB) was recently recognized by ConventionSouth in its 2020 Reader’s Choice Awards. The FCVB was selected by meeting planners for exhibiting excellence, creativity and professionalism in the meetings and conventions industry.

“Being nominated and then selected by the readers of ConventionSouth as one of the premier destination marketing organizations in the South for 2020 is indeed a high honor for the staff at the Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau,” President and CEO Ernie Loeffler said. “I am thankful for the depth of knowledge and commitment to excellence, service and innovation exhibited by our entire team here at the FCVB.”

This year’s winners included convention centers, hotels and special event venues as well as convention and visitors’ bureaus throughout the South. More than 8,000 readers and fans voted to create the top 380 meeting sites and destinations list for the South.

To identify the South’s top venues, ConventionSouth asks meeting professionals to nominate meeting sites they believe have provided exemplary service for meetings and events held during the current year. The nominated sites are then complied and placed on an online ballot where meeting professionals are asked to vote for the best.

“2020 was certainly a year of challenges in the meetings arena as in all areas of hospitality,” Loeffler said. “Our group sales team, led by Konnie Patke, kept the best interest of our groups and meeting clients front and center as well as navigated through the new business landscape created by COVID-19.”
