The City of Fredericksburg in partnership with Fredericksburg Shines and Gillespie County has recently completed the construction of three 100-amp electric vehicle charging stations at 108 W. San Antonio St.

The three chargers supplement the City’s two existing 40-amp EV chargers located at 206 W. Austin St., which received upgrades as part of this project.

The Fredericksburg Shines organization contributed to fund a portion of the project, while the City of Fredericksburg’s Electric Department did the installation of the chargers. The County approved the location and granted an easement to provide a spot to house the required equipment.

All five of the City's stations are operated through the Liberty Hydra App. Users should follow the instructions provided at each of the stations to charge vehicles.
