Fredericksburg Recognized as Vibrant Holiday Destination NOV 27 2018
Fredericksburg has been recognized by Reader’s Digest as one of “The 20 Best Small Towns for Christmas Lights,” Southern Living as one of “The Best Small Towns for Christmas in the South,” and Trips to Discover as one of the “11 Best Small Towns to Visit for Christmas in the US.”
Reader’s Digest spotlighted Fredericksburg’s festive Main Street and the “must-see spectacle” that is the town’s 26-foot-tall German Christmas Pyramid.
Southern Living highlighted “the town’s old-fashioned celebrations,” and its “nostalgic downtown shopping.” The publication went on to say that any of the destinations on its list had “some of the mildest weather in the country during the Christmas season… and no shortage of activities for the whole family to enjoy.”
Trips to Discover said that “Fredericksburg will give you a dose of small-town Texas” and that you can “soak up the Christmastime charm at one of the many holiday events.”
That all describes Fredericksburg’s holiday season perfectly, where German traditions, timeless holiday décor, endless Christmas cheer and four weeks of festive holiday entertainment are just a few reasons to visit during the holidays. Whether it’s ice skating and marveling at our Lighted Christmas parade, shopping along Main Street, enjoying the Christmas Wine Affair and local cuisine, or attending one of the many special events this season, Fredericksburg is the perfect holiday getaway.
