FCVB to Offer Cooperative Advertising Opportunities to Hospitality Industry
The Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau (FCVB) is planning a limited cooperative print advertising campaign to run in select publications, primarily in key target markets throughout Texas, over the next six months. The campaign will be a “test” to determine if the FCVB will offer an expanded campaign in our 2012/2013 fiscal year. Our basic plan is to purchase a full page ad in these publications and run an ad from our series appropriate for that publication and its demographics and allow our hospitality partners to purchase a space for a reduced price.
The goals of this cooperative program are simple:
- To allow our hospitality partners the opportunity to purchase space in publications at a cost below what they could purchase similar space for themselves while strengthening their positioning in Fredericksburg / Gillespie County through a full-page ad.
- To build overall brand awareness of the Fredericksburg brand and tourism product
- To test the concept of a co-op program for future advertising budgets.
Selected publications for the test program are Tribeza, Austin Monthly, 360 West, My Table, Houston Lifestyles and Western Art and Architecture. All ads will run during May, June or July issues of the selected publications.
There will be two identical presentations on Tuesday, March 6 at 5:45 pm and Wednesday, March 7 at 8:45 a.m. Both presentations will be less than 45 minutes in length and offer details on the program, the publications and sign-up opportunities for partners to acquire space. If your business is interested in learning more about the program and how it offers you the chance to advertise in publications that you might not otherwise be able to afford, mark your calendar now to attend. Some ads prices will be less than $500 per partner. For more information on the program or the meetings, email email@example.com
