Ava Haus: Ava’s Suite, Garten Cottage, The Dairy
There are three guest houses at Ava’s Haus, each with it’s own distinctive personality. All are located one a few acres just outside of Fredericksburg.
Ava’s Suite is adjacent to the homeowner’s home and comfortably sleeps four persons. Conveniently located, the entrance is found on the back side of the house. The entrance is a stone porch just outside the bedroom. An extraordinary…large, king-size brass bed is the focal point of the bedroom. Adjacent to the bedroom is a spacious bath with rock floors, pressed tin ceilings and beaded board walls. The bath has a tub with a hand-held shower plus a separate shower. Outside the bath (in the hall) is a coffee bar built of old wood to create a rustic, barn appearance.
Garten Cottage: Underneath a large oak tree a lean-to porch is the perfect entrance into this quaint little cabin. This special little guest house is one room with high pitched ceilings and a roomy bath. The focal point is the king-size bed bordered at the head of the bed by an antique cornice and natural muslin hanging centered by pair of angels. Concealed in a corner cabinet is the TV (limited reception) and a coffee bar. Your morning coffee can be enjoyed around an old serving cart which has been converted into a table for two. The spacious bath with its tile floor features a clawfoot tub with shower. A side door leads you onto a patio situated for comfort and privacy.
The Dairy: This wonderful country guesthouse is basically one large room with a high pitched ceiling. The bedroom area is spacious and inviting with it’s king-size brass bed. A focal point is a beautiful stained glass window located high above the bed to catch the morning sun. The frame part of the structure is the living-dining area. French country daybed, a large country wardrobe (which houses the mini-kitchen) and rustic furnishings give a French Country feel to The Dairy.
