Last summer we held our first Metro Board Retreat that included members of the Texas Restaurant Association from San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. As you can imagine, trying to please over 100 top restaurateurs in the state is a tall order but one that the Fredericksburg community embraced! We stayed at the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites and they were very well priced & accommodating. Our meetings were held at the Nimitz Museum and were great for our big group as well as when we split out in smaller group sessions. We had a group dinner at Grape Creek Vineyards that was outstanding! I would highly recommend doing any type of meeting (large or small) in Fredericksburg…you’ll receive down home hospitality at an extremely reasonable price!

I have worked with the Fredericksburg CVB in both my business and personal life. I work for a continuing legal education provider and we made a special trip to Fredericksburg to search for an appropriate facility for our event. The folks at the CVB took us around town and showed us many different options for our conference until we found just the right spot. They provided welcome packets for all of our registrants and even stopped by our evening social to offer a personal greeting to everyone and to answer questions about the Fredericksburg area – truly red carpet service.
My husband and I are members of the Goldwing Road Riders Association and we have our annual Bluebonnet Rally in Fredericksburg at the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The Fredericksburg CVB has always been supportive of our event and helpful with any questions we have about the area. They have also provided welcome packets to our group along with wildflower seed packets and maps of the area which everyone truly enjoys.
The Fredericksburg CVB is always hospitable, extremely knowledgeable, and they continue to provide a positive experience every time I interact with them.
Our car event – Boxstoberfest, an annual gathering of Porsche Boxster enthusiasts – has been coming to Fredericksburg for the past 14 years. The unique German heritage and feel of Fredericksburg made this the perfect place to have the first gathering, and we have returned each year. Over the years, the event has grown from 6 attendees, to almost 200. Every attendee loves to explore Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country. The excellent restaurants, shops, scenery and especially the people are all a big hit.
Planning an event in Fredericksburg is easy, and fun. Everyone in town offers assistance, advice, and suggestions to make the event come off without a hitch, starting with the wonderful staff at the Convention and Visitor Bureau who have helped us tremendously. We can’t ever imagine having our event anywhere else.

The West Texas Pharmacy Association hosted their annual convention in Fredericksburg in February 2011. Laurie Hartz and her staff at the CVB were instrumental in making the convention a success. They provided valuable information in finding the right hotel, banquet venues, caterers, etc. Attendees loved the small town atmosphere where they could walk, shop, eat, and enjoy . The Inn on Barons Creek provided the perfect venue with meeting rooms onsite. Attendees had nothing but praise for their suites and the facilities of the conference center. We will be returning to Fredericksburg in 2015.

I would like to thank the Convention & Visitors Bureau for the help and outstanding cooperation the Laredo Air Force Base Reunion Committee received in the planning and execution of our event. It was a resounding success and we attribute much of that to you and your help. Please pass our thanks to all that helped us and we look forward other events we will hold in Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg in the fall, what a beautiful place to be. You are welcomed with such hospitality and warmth. That is why the South Central Texas Women’s Retreat has chosen for the fourth year in a row to meet in Fredericksburg. The ladies love to come a day early for the shops and restaurants of this quaint town. They are able to accommodate our needs and make us feel so welcomed. I would recommend this beautiful town to anyone planning a small or large event.

We held our 2010 physician health fall conference in Fredericksburg and everything was wonderful! From the very beginning, when we were considering Fredericksburg as a site for our conference, FCVB staff, Laurie Hartz, was very personable and extremely helpful in locating suitable accommodations for us. She kept in touch with us throughout the entire process and even came to our conference to personally hand deliver welcome gift bags to our attendees.
The hotel staff was equally as personable and accommodating, from having the meeting rooms set exactly as we requested, to having the necessary audio visual equipment. It was the type of experience everyone hopes to have when hosting an event! And the wonderful hospitality and efficiency did not end there. We contracted with a caterer recommended to us for our food and beverage needs and their staff members were impeccable.
Fredericksburg was a perfect place to have our conference! It is close enough to larger cities, so it was an easy commute for those who travelled by plane, as well as those who arrived by private vehicles. There was a wide choice of restaurants and shopping within walking distance to please all attendees. The charm of downtown Fredericksburg will remain with us and we will look forward to going there for a future conference.

Three years meeting in Fredericksburg and our numbers for our school are stronger than ever….choosing to meet in Fredericksburg is one of the best things I have ever done for our programs. Thanks Fredericksburg CVB for all that you do to support TJCTC meetings in Fredericksburg.
