Strawberries Macerated in balsamic Vinegar with Whipped Cream

Ingredients:
2 pounds small strawberries, cleaned, dried and green tops removed
1 to 1 ½ cups sugar
6 ounces balsamic vinegar

Whipped cream:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
½ cup sugar

Preparation:
- Toss berries with sugar and vinegar and let stand 20 minutes.  While berries macerate make the whipped cream.
- Whip cream mixture on high speed until soft peaks form.
- Place berries and a small amount of vinegar mixture in bowls and top with the whipped cream.
