July 4th Community Parade

Fredericksburg, located in the Texas Hill Country, is a patriotic, small American town. The annual Fourth of July Parade, begun in 1991 by a group of community volunteers, has been held every year on July Fourth. For 2012, the parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. This year’s parade will honor the Veterans of the Global War on Terror as the Grand Marshals.
The parade starts behind the Courthouse on S. Adams and travels on Main Street east to Washington St. There it turns and proceeds west on Main St. to Bowie St. Arrive early for a good spot and bring your chairs!
A patriotic program will follow the parade at Marktplatz and will feature guest speakers and entertainment. Refreshments will be available.
