Historic Schools Open House (Cherry Spring and Pecan Creek)

Featuring the Cherry Spring and Pecan Creek Historic Schools. These schools are located on the year-round Gillespie County Rural Schools Trail. The “Schools” on the “Trail” are on the National Register of Historic Places. Former students and community people will be available to share school stories from the past. Preserving the traditions of the schools for future generations. Self-guided driving map available at the Fredericksburg Visitor Information Center at 302 E. Austin.
The Cherry Spring School is located at 5973 Ranch Road 2323. Christ Lutheran Church will also be open.
The Pecan Creek School is located at 3410 Pecan Creek Road.
