13th Annual Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Club Bluebonnet Tractor Ride
Apr 14 2018 to Apr 14 2018
Each year the Club hosts an annual Tractor Ride. We have been hosting this event for over a decade now and it has grown to be a favorite of tractor owners all over the state. Many tractor enthusiasts enjoy the day in the beautiful Texas Hill Country upon their tractor. The ride begins with registration and light morning refreshments at 8:30 am. A “driver’s meeting” is held prior to the ride covering all of the safety rules and expectations of the participants. The tractor riders embark on a ride through some of the prettiest areas in the county. A “Sag Wagon” will follow the tractors to provide assistance to those that might experience mechanical or fuel problems. Antique vehicles other than tractors are also welcome. The average speed will likely be around five miles per hour.
The 2018 Bluebonnet Ride route will start at the Doss Community Center and travel through the Texas Hill Country on scenic back roads before stopping for lunch at the historic Pecan Creek School for a BBQ lunch and brief meeting where awards will be given out for the “oldest tractor”, “oldest driver” and “farthest traveled rider”. Riders then climb back on their tractors and travel back to the starting point with the ride culminating around 3 pm in the afternoon. Rain or shine, so come prepared for our unpredictable weather.
Limited space is available on our “People Mover” for spouses and non-tractor riders who wish to participate in the days festivities.
$35 per tractor/vehicle; $15 for youth ages 16 – 19 with valid driver’s licenses; $20 per person for the People Mover; $10 for the meal only.
