Fredericksburg Named One of “10 Great Small Towns for Family Vacations” by Travel Channel JAN 05 2018
With Spring Break and summer vacations just around the corner, Fredericksburg was recently recognized by Travel Channel as one of “10 Great Small Towns for Family Vacations.”
The article highlighted the fact that the town has “one of the best Oktoberfests in the nation” and “in the spring bluebonnets cover fields, and in the summer the area wineries and orchards attract visitors.”
Travel Channel went on to note that Fredericksburg is rich with historical learning opportunities, including “the National Museum of the Pacific War, and about the United States’ 36th president at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park.”
Other activities also mentioned by Travel Channel, included “taking a cooking class at Fischer & Wieser’s Culinary Adventure Cooking School, enjoy a local beer downtown and pamper yourself at Fredericksburg Herb Farm’s spa after shopping Fredericksburg’s charming main street.”
