Fredericksburg Named One of “The Best Small Towns for Christmas in the South” by Southern Living NOV 09 2017
Fredericksburg was recently recognized by Southern Living as one of “The Best Small Towns for Christmas in the South.” The publication highlighted “the town’s old-fashioned celebrations,” and its “nostalgic downtown shopping.”
Southern Living went on to say that any of the destinations on its list had “some of the mildest weather in the country during the Christmas season… and no shortage of activities for the whole family to enjoy.”
That describes Fredericksburg’s holiday season perfectly, where German traditions, timeless holiday décor, endless Christmas cheer and four weeks of festive holiday entertainment are just a few reasons to visit during the holidays. Whether it’s ice skating and marveling at our 30-foot Christmas tree and 26-foot German Christmas pyramid at Marktplatz, shopping along Main Street, enjoying the Christmas Wine Affair and local cuisine, or attending one of the many special events this season, Fredericksburg is the perfect holiday getaway.
