Can’t Miss: Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest

While the Fredericksburg area’s more than 45 wineries make enjoying Texas Wine Country fun all year long, the annual Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest brings a number of extra reasons to celebrate in Fredericksburg on Thursday, October 26, through Saturday, October 28.

  • Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest special events will kick off early on Thursday, October 26, with a “Go Texan! Dinner and Wine” evening at Messina Hof Hill Country from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Event goers will enjoy Texas wines paired with a gourmet dinner in the company of some of the biggest wine lovers in the state of Texas. Tickets to the “Go Texan! Dinner and Wine” evening at Messina Hof Hill Country are $80 per person and only available in advance.
  • On Friday, October 27, the action heats up with a “Celebration of Texas Food & Wine” from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Becker Vineyards. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres while sipping selected Texas wines and listening to live music by Hit & Run at one of the area’s most picturesque wineries. Tickets to the “Celebration of Texas Food & Wine” are $80 per person and include an official Fest wine glass.
  • On Saturday, October 28, the big day kicks off with the annual “Patron Party” on Marktplatz from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. where guests will enjoy an exclusive gourmet luncheon in an alfresco setting with wine pairings. Patron Party attendees will receive a Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest badge, commemorative pin, wine glass and 12 wine tasting tickets to use at the main festival following the Patron Party. Tickets to the “Patron Party” on Marktplatz are limited in quantity, $100 per person and include admission to the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest main event.
  • On Saturday, October 28, the “Grape Expectations Cooking School” will bring four Texas chef demonstrations including food and wine samples, printed recipes and tons of fun to Marktplatz. The “Grape Expectations Cooking School” is $75 per person, which includes general admission to the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest main event.
  • On Saturday, October 28, “25 at 5” will be highlighted by a meet and greet with the featured chef. Prepared dishes with wine pairings will be served at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for the exclusive “25 at 5” event are limited to 25 people, $100 per person, and include general admission to the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest main event.
  • On Saturday, October 28, the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest “Main Event” begins at noon until 7:00 p.m. featuring wine tastings by Texas wineries, Texas specialty food booths, live entertainment, the Great Gargantuan Grape Toss and more. General admission tickets are $25 per person and include a souvenir wine glass, six tickets for wine tastings, live music and more.

Can’t decide which event to go to? Go for the “Anniversary Package” which offers admission to the “Go Texan! Dinner and Wine” event on Thursday evening, the Celebration of Texas Food & Wine at Becker Vineyards on Friday evening, the Patron Brunch on Saturday, General Admission on Saturday and all four sessions of the Grape Expectations Cooking School. Tickets are $300 per person and only available in advance.
