Fredericksburg Ranked #7 in Best Places to Learn About History in the U.S. List APR 14 2017
Reading about history in a book is one thing. Immersing yourself in the history and heritage of a place is another. With Fredericksburg’s museums and historic sites and strong German heritage that is still present to this day, it’s no surprise that our little town was ranked #7 in LendEDU’s “Best Places to Learn about History in the U.S.” list!
“Many cities and towns in the United States have their own piece of history to offer, whether it’s a Civil War museum or an old farm house that has become national landmark,” the article notes, “so we decided to do a little bit of research on which cities and places in the United States have the most to offer history lovers.”
And boy does Fredericksburg have a lot to offer history lovers! Between the National Museum of the Pacific War, Pioneer Museum, Fort Martin Scott, Texas Rangers Heritage Center, the Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks, as well as a number of other historically significant locations and attractions, there’s a lot to learn and enjoy!
