What’s New: Fredericksburg Trolley Offers Local Tours and Transportation

All aboard! The Fredericksburg Trolley, Fredericksburg’s newest attraction, is now offering specialty tours and transportation in the Fredericksburg area.

The Fredericksburg Trolley shuttle now operates regular routes with more than fourteen stops around town (including participating hotels) on the weekends. Encompassing all of the historic Main Street shopping and entertainment district, the heated and air conditioned shuttles offer a fun and inexpensive way to take a quick tour of downtown Fredericksburg and allow easy transportation. Hours of operation are Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A single ride fare is $3 per ride, or you can purchase a one-day pass for $7 (or $3 for children ages 3 – 11) or a two-day pass for $12. Children under three ride free. The trolley shuttles are handicap accessible. For more shuttle information, click here.

The Fredericksburg Trolley offers a year-round Historic Fredericksburg Tour, where riders can learn about Fredericksburg’s German heritage, historic buildings and homes and unique architecture. Historic Fredericksburg tours are 1 hour and 45 minutes long. One tour will be available each day, Tuesdays through Sundays.

Another great history option is the Presidential Tour, which includes a trip to Stonewall, the Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks, and LBJ’s boyhood home in Johnson City. The trolley tour is 6 hours long, includes a meal at a local restaurant, and is available on Saturday and Sunday only. Tours begin at 9:00 a.m.

In the future, Fredericksburg Trolley will roll out additional tours like a Haunted History Tour, Wildflower Tour and more.
