What’s New: Fredericksburg Trolley Offers Local Tours

All aboard! The Fredericksburg Trolley, Fredericksburg’s newest attraction, is now offering two specialty tours in the Fredericksburg area.

Just in time for the holidays, the Fredericksburg Trolley Company is now offering the Jolly Trolley Tour. Hop on the decorated, vintage-style Jolly Trolley for a fun-filled holiday experience departing from the Fredericksburg Visitor Center (302 East Austin Street) and head to Johnson City.  Experience more than 1 million lights at the Pedernales Electric Co-Op, the courthouse draped in lights and the festive shops around Johnson City’s quaint town square. Sing holiday tunes, take your turn at Christmas karaoke or watch vintage editions of Rudolph or Charlie Brown’s Christmas along the way. The tour is 3 hours long, including a 40 minute drive time to Johnson City. Jolly Trolley Tours are running November 2016 through January 2017.

In January 2017, the Fredericksburg Trolley will also debut a Historic Fredericksburg Tour, which will be offered year-round. Riders will learn about Fredericksburg’s German heritage, historic buildings and homes and unique architecture. Historic Fredericksburg tours are 1 hour and 45 minutes long. One tour will be available each day, Tuesdays through Sundays. Tours begin at the Fredericksburg Trolley Station, located at 406 East Main Street.

In the future, Fredericksburg Trolley will roll out additional tours like a Haunted History Tour, Wildflower Tour and more.
